Fitting Process
The North Fit fitting process is designed to be both efficient and convenient, typically requiring approximately 30 minutes to complete. Our state-of-the-art equipment is engineered for easy transport and straightforward operation, requiring only a standard AC outlet for power. To initiate the fitting process, we will need your horse and the specific saddle intended for the fitting.
During the session, the rider will be required to mount the horse for a duration of 12 minutes to apply the necessary pressure for molding. This step is crucial to ensure the pad conforms accurately to the horse's back and saddle. We ask that you bring appropriate personal safety equipment to ensure a safe and effective fitting session.
01
Heating The Pad
To initiate the fitting process, we position a flat patterned pad within our patented heating system, maintaining it until the required pliability is attained. This procedure typically requires approximately 16 minutes once the heating system has reached the optimal operating temperature.
02
Centering Pad On Saddle
In a precise and timely manner, the heated pad is centered on the saddle and positioned correctly on the horse. The girth strap is then securely fastened to prepare for the application of the rider's pressure. It is advantageous for the rider to assist during this phase, given their familiarity with the horse's tack and optimal saddle placement.

Molding
Once the saddle is securely fastened, the rider is required to mount the horse and maintain a centered and consistent pressure throughout the cooling process of the pad. This step is critical as it ensures that the pad conforms precisely to the horse's back and the saddle's shape. The rider must stay mounted and apply even pressure until the pad reaches a stable, cooled state, effectively locking in the customized fit.
04
Checking For fit
Upon completion of the molding process, a thorough inspection is conducted to verify the correct positioning of the pad during molding. This includes assessing the alignment with the horse's back and the saddle to ensure no misalignment occurred. Additionally, we meticulously evaluate the finished product to confirm that it exhibits all the desired characteristics, such as optimal contouring, uniform pressure distribution, and the integrity of the material. This comprehensive quality control step is crucial to guarantee that the pad provides the intended benefits of enhanced comfort and performance.
